Work processes are documented using the six process tools.

  • Work Plans: Step-by-step task listings to fully document how a process is accomplished. They are essential for training. The more detailed the Work Plan, the easier it is to train employees.
  • Checklists: Lists of action steps with checkboxes to monitor the process, ensuring each step is completed.
  • Scripts: Written narratives or prompts, sometimes spoken word for word, guiding the process. They are often used with a corresponding Work Plan.
  • Uploaded Files: Upload Excel, Word, and PowerPoint files to support processes. Files are stored on the TouchStone server and accessible from any login. Use for quantification, measurement, or as supplemental documents.
  • Documents: Create text or form documents necessary for the process. Ideal for information that doesn’t fit other tools, and existing text/forms can be pasted here.
  • Policy Notes: Document important policies related to the process or the company. Policies provide clear rules and standards for the company.
  • Custom Forms: Create fillable forms to capture information during the process, such as employee tests or task outcomes. These forms are used on the Dashboard.
  • Video: Upload video files (Mpg4 and flv formats) to supplement process tools. Files are stored on the TouchStone server.
  • Audio: Upload audio files (mp3 format) to supplement process tools. Files are stored on the TouchStone server.
